Two things:
1. This crowd has some can do creativity.
2. Itās kinda crazy to be solving this like itās an F150 forum for trucks built before ā76.
That said, the product manager over at ford might have the last laugh.
Full disclosureā¦
Just before leaving - having pulled away from the garage...
Thanks for the suggestions gents.
would love for the Ford PM to be reading along -š”

getting ready to hit the roadā¦
I wish that was the case.
Pics give better impression on space than reality - but perhaps some form of ramp or lift, + turn of forks, might get me home.
Worth a second look anyhow.
Tks.
. Quick search of the internet doesn't show anyone successfully doing that - but also worth a deeper...
Thanks Rick.
one manās opinion: this borders on product management malpractice.
I can understand why they would opt to make SAFETY features automatic.
However, CONVENIENCE features like power tailgates or running boards could create safety or damage risk if reset on their own accord.
Hard to...
Moment of frustration - perhaps of my own making?
About to haul my scooter.
Have a set of ramps and winch (120v) to load one man: avoid Darwin Award/YouTube video clip.

Thanks. Appreciated.
My service manager mumbled something uncharitable about forums when I mentioned I might be able to supply the needed info.
Proceeded to type my make model and year in- and then pronounced āno known issueā¦ā. I was not very impressed.
Iāll try again or contact a different...
Perhaps others can comment on your question. In my case itās the ER.
Update: I installed an outdoor rated outlet on my temp power pole and wired it using 6AWG and a 40amp breaker.
charging works fine.
Iām getting 236v across the two legs and 118v on single legs.
I forgot what a joy it was...
Thanks guys.
Itās all of a 14ā run on the poleā¦ so seams like a no brained then to grab a foot or two and use for the install.
Dealer is looking into placing an order for the free 80 amp charger.
would be a great outcome for the shop.
Suspect Iām gonna have to run a sub panel as I donāt have...
Ok. More good insights. This would be ideal for the shop.
Free is good!

Had a look at job site box today.

Gents - all around much appreciate the input.
Some good feedback on charging options/code/circuit set up.
Thank you!
Some takeaways:
- Plug is 14-50, 4 prong, but operates on 3. I suspected this might be the case.
- Best practice is dedicated outlet/ with neutral run when putting a 14-50 on...
Farmtruck - thanks.
Drinking water from hydrant - but getting there.
The CSPs you use are hardwired - and run at 80% of their circuit. So I assume if you have them set to 100amp, you must have 125amp dedicated circuit?
Your portable is 50 amp, does that mean it requires 62.5+ rated outlet to...
Armadillo - good detail.
Very helpful.
Job site:
"80% of receptacle for continuous load" for recepticle. Got it.
One thing I haven't quite figured out: the role the breaker plays.
Example: if I swapped out the outlet for a 14-50, and rewired to appropriate gauge wire (6?), does the breaker...
Thanks for weighing in Maquis.
Wondering if itās just a game of high amp evse 1p or should I be hunting a 3P solution for faster charge.
new to the gameā¦
also trying to decipher needs for outlet breaker amperage.
Plug on charger is 50 amp.
Is the breaker amperage a limiting factor?

Little bit of a unique situation.
