⬆⬆⬆ Agree with above.

6 awg with a 50 amp breaker. That way you can get full use out of that 14-50 outlet.

Believe the ground wire can be 10 awg.

Thanks guys.
It’s all of a 14” run on the pole… so seams like a no brained then to grab a foot or two and use for the install.
Dealer is looking into placing an order for the free 80 amp charger.
would be a great outcome for the shop.
Suspect I’m gonna have to run a sub panel as I don’t have 100 amp excess capacity currently.
I do have the small original service that I replaced.
will look into sub panel wiring (know it’s NOT bonded when connected to main panel with metal conduit)

Would allow a dedicated circuit right next to roll up door.

It’s my understanding the SR battery is limited by the truck BMS to max 32 amp max AC charging either using the Ford 14-50 dongle 240v (and 11 amp AC with the 5-20 dongle) OR any other EVSE even if the EVSE is set to deliver at a higher amperage capacity. Is this not correct? And with the ER batteries with two onboard chargers is it limited to 32 amps AC x 2?

Perhaps others can comment on your question. In my case it’s the ER.

Update: I installed an outdoor rated outlet on my temp power pole and wired it using 6AWG and a 40amp breaker.
charging works fine.
I’m getting 236v across the two legs and 118v on single legs.

I forgot what a joy it was to work with 6AWG wire… so pliable… 🙂

Took some time to do it neatly and keep the box tidy. Results are good.

Pressing my dealer to figure out how to request the 80amp - they seamed unaware.

Ishkatan - any phrases or directions I might give them to help push it along?

Thanks.

The SR can charge at 48A max. All ‘24 models will come with the single charger and be limited to 48A except for custom fleet orders. The dual charger ER will not be offered.
