Got my truck back today. Shout out to Cleveland Ford service they were awesome! Turns out it was a defective charge port and a defective onboardcharger module. The module part itself was 5k.
But it’s back in business man I really missed this truck. As soon as I got back in it I remembered that...
So… just an update as to what’s going on. I went to my home dealer and explained the situation. They were extremely helpful and immediately put me in a gas Ranger loaner.
I ended up paying the 700$ to have it towed there so they could look at it in a timely manner. Being as they put me in a...
I’m still waiting on my truck to get fixed. There ordered a charge port but I don’t have an eta on when I’ll get it back. I’m thinking about just keeping it. If it has another battery issue before I hit 100k miles I’ll definitely get rid of it. Just not worth the chance being out of warranty. Or...
Would I do it again? yes. Despite my recent service issues this is still the best vehicle I’ve ever owned! But I am considering a change and would appreciate some feedback.
I have a 22 lariat ER with right at 60K miles. Until about a month ago it’s been dead reliable. I had a battery module...
I didn’t feel that your response wash harsh or unbalanced. Ford Knows that their dealers affect their sales either for positive or negative.
I wasn’t happy when my battery module failed but my service experience was excellent at my home dealer. Made me confident to want to keep the truck...
Unfortunately it’s in a rural part of AL the only other dealer nearby ford could tow it to said they couldn’t even look at it for 2 more weeks! And I could have it towed back to my home dealer but the cost was over 700$. Course I may end up paying more in my rental car if they keep taking their...
So my truck has been in the shop for over a week without them even looking at it. I’ve called every day and they keep saying they’ll look at it that day but never do. Unbelievable!
I know many of you have had your truck in service for much longer but is there anyone from ford I can talk to...
Thank you! How long did it take to get your charge port replaced? Unfortunately I had to leave mine at a small town dealer It didn’t seem like they did much with EVs
So I just got module 2 replaced two weeks ago due to a bad cell. They had the truck charged to 100% everything seemed to be working normal. Today I take a 2 hr each way trip. Stop to charge on the way back and I get a charge station fault. There’s a level 2 right beside it I try that and it...
Update got my truck back today. Only took a week from drop off to pick up I’m impressed! They replaced module 2. Interesting it said module 2 cell 21 exceeded 10% SOC. They charged it to 100% to test.
I guess my point was how much can we really trust that SOH reading from car scanner. I check it occasionally and it has gone from 99 % back up to 99.5% I have 99.5 %. Health and then a cell goes bad. As far as charging habits I charge mine to 70% daily i stay mostly in town so get home with...
I did use car scanner to scan for DTC but I don’t believe anything is useful besides it reading voltage unstable. Agreed I don’t believe car scanner has the ability to read individual cells.
Btw my battery health according to car scanner was 99.5% I have right at 60k miles. I try and treat the...
So I learned something from the service advisor today. According to him it just depends on which cell goes out and your locked to that charge level. Mine is 62% battery so I can charge up to that level and that’s it. One guys cell went out that was at 3% so he couldn’t go over that level. Tried...
Unfortunately looks like I might have a possible battery module failure. 2022 Lariat ER almost 60k miles. Wrench light came on Saturday Power meter stuck at 57% available. I was going to try to charge past 72% since others said there’s with the failed battery module. Now it will not charge on my...
So I pretty much exclusively use auto on climate control just fine it better and easier. However as it’s starting getting hot last week or so in the mid 80’s I’ve noticed the auto settings are not working as I remember how they used to work.
When the temps are in the 80’s I have to keep it all...
I’m at 100% SOH just passed 40k miles in 18 months. About 4 months ago car scanner said 99% SOH but now it’s reading 100%. Don’t think it’s completely accurate. When I charge to 100% which I have to once a week it says I have 126 KHW usable. So that’s 5 kWh or around 4% in 40k. Used to always...
I’ve been watching car scanner more lately on my lightning. Have 37k miles so far. It has been at 99.5 % state of health. But last couple days now it says 100% 🤷‍♂️ I haven’t noticed to much difference in range from when I bought the truck never been super efficient on highway. But still awesome...
I’m at 37K car scanner app says 99.5% state of health but idk how accurate that is. Charged to 100% today because I needed it and car scanner said 128kwh usable. Again that is likely not super accurate. But overall think the battery isn’t something we need to worry so much about. I generally...
There are 3d print files you can get for free online that’s what this looks like and that’s what I did. Not sure if anyone sells them if you don’t have a 3d printer.
