I have a 22 Lariat ER. I had the dealer look at it..said they recharged the AC...road tested...OK. Not OK. Last year it was HoTTT. Now it takes about 5-10 minutes to start blowing lukewarm. In 30 minutes it is comfortable. It is going back to the dealer after Thanksgiving!
Sun Run impressed me as a boiler-room operation in 2022 when I bout my Lightning. When the first person to answer the phone said I needed to confirm my order with a manager, I told them to get lost. I installed the smaller charger at both of my homes myself for a fraction of what SunRun wanted.
I have been dealing with Bob Bell Ford for years. Glen Burney, Maryland. I have a 22 ER Lariat w/ 31K miles. The heater stopped working. Yesterday, I was 2 hours late for my appointment, no problem. I needed a ride home, within seconds of me asking, there was a driver standing in front of...
No, I am saying that rotational energy is a big deal. And, that the regeneration hardware is tuned to the weight of the rotational mass. so is the acceleration.
There is a balance in rotating mass when it comes to expending energy for accelerations and recovering energy while slowing down. 40% of breaking/accelerating force is consumed by rotating mass. 79 pounds is optimal. Else you risk efficiency loss.
the web site us FUBR. Interesting that Ford has no idea how to deploy a highly scaled solution. I cannot wait to see how they perform when I try to use a Tesla Charger.
Aero drag is the biggest factor, unless you are towing. Try tucking in behind a semi on the highway to extend your range. I just did a 31 mile drive on the highway at 23 degrees and got 2.1M/Kw. Behavior is everything on this issue.
Check your tire pressure. Range drops about 20% when the temperature hits ~60. I have a regular 150M route on the highway and get between 1.7 and 2.1 M/Kw. I can hit upper 2s and low 3s when driving at 25mph on the island. As a benchmark, I only get 220M out of a tank of gas with my Carrera.
I did some research on tires/wheels. Mostly surrounding weight. I have not read any detailed information about weight; however, I read, during my 18 months wait for the my ER Lariat, that rotational mass and tire selection were a critical engineering efforts at Ford during development...
I have been reading about the tire weight. The stock General Grabber are 34 lbs. Most of the AT tired I have looked at are in the 50-60 lbs range. I have the K02s on my raptor, but they are 55 lbs. I just found this article I summary, a 3lb increase in wheel/tire weight yeilded an 8% dercese...
I traded my Raptor on my 22 Lightning. The Raptor soaked up the ripple and potholes batter than the lightning. I am sure the Fox suspension had something to do with it; however, I am also sure the tire size contributed. I am starting to look at new rubber. I heard that there was a lot of...
My range calculation appears stuck in Towing mode. So it displays approximately half of actual. I have tried selecting "no trailer" option under the Towing icon several times and cycled the power several times. Still stuck. Any suggestions?
When I tap on the Waze screen the "speaker" button appears in the lower right. along with a sliver of the "reorient button" just below that. Further, the curser (the arrow that represents your car) is also hidden as well as you next turn (graghical). All of the feature access controls like...
The intelligent screen sizing causes useless podcast and redundant temperature to be displayed lower middle of the center display at the expense of cutting off the bottom controls on Waze and MAPs. Thanks for disabling these features. they make the display even more useless.
Does anyone know...
