Since I know my truck is at the dealer, and I won't be home for a week, I decided to look and see if it actually shows on in my dealers inventory online. It does. It shows the MSRP but they have $799 added for "Service Fee". Guess who won't be paying a service fee....

Guys, my Pro does not come with a lock for the spare. There is only a hole where you lower the tire. Can another Pro confirm that we don’t get the lock?

I am still trying to decide how to use my points. Most of the items on Ford site seem overpriced so I ordered everything from Amazon.

I have never used the keypad and trying to see if it makes sense. I can see only using it if I lock my keys in. For regular use, I think it reduces security if someone sees you using it. Those of you that are thinking about it, tell me the Pros for you and how you would use it, especially if you have used it before. If I get it, I probably put it somewhere under the truck for emergency use.

Another question, Does hardware store cut a duplicate key? If they do, do you have to get the blanks from Ford? Have you ever done it for this type of Key? The one that came with the truck didn’t have a keychain hole so I had to rig something that does not look great. Besides, I got only one and it does not hurt to have an extra.

on the question of what I have ordered so far; Running board, front floor mats, antenna, tie down anchors and cleats, running board and battery monitor. I am not in a rush for adaptors and cables as much since I am not planing to travel with it much yet but if you have a must have list, please share it.

lol I wish you luck!! Service fee is the dealer documentation fee. I didn’t put a fight up for it but I should’ve. Mine was $475 and it’s pretty standard so I didn’t bother

I got a security code attached to my pro key fob for “keyless entry system”. I was wondering what it was for.
So I should be able to buy one of these keypads and it will work with my code? If that is the case, why does it say "Requires Dealer Service Tool "?

When we use the app to start pro, doesn't that mean it has factory remote start?

Now I need someone to verify which one of these keypad will work for Pro before I order.

You can only unlock but not start the vehicle with these right? Basically, if I lose my keys far from home, I am still stuck even if I have one of these. They are only good if you lock your keys in. In which case, your key fob is deactivated and you have to remember how to bring it back to life.

The pro remote start works via wifi I assume and I was wondering if that is something we have to pay for long term?

I also assume the remote version works via a radio signal using some added receiver in the truck.

key pads are good to leave keys in the truck and get in with the keypad. Going to the beach is the primary reason I can think to use it. Other than that I agree with you it leaves the truck more vulnerable

I got two key fobs each of which have a physical key inside. I also got the third physical key (which is what I am talking about). All physical keys can open the door and lock glove box. That is the thing I want to duplicate. I did that for my wife’s scooter but I had to order the blank from Yamaha and had Ace cut it. That was a simpler design. I asked the question because this key looks different from anything I have owned before.

I thought if I ask the dealer, I will get a key just like the one I have (hole less), which is not what I want.

Oh, you're talking about the glove box key!! Those are all laser cut, so as long as wherever you go can copy laser cut keys I don't think you should have an issue finding a suitable key with what they have on hand. Good luck!

For those of you that have taken delivery and tracked the final steps via United Road, how long did it take once your vehicle arrived at the pick up location for the United Road website to show your vehicle pending pickup. According to my dealership, my vehicle arrived at its final rail destination on Thursday night, but United Road still shows my truck as inactive.

For those of you that have taken delivery and tracked the final steps via United Road, how long did it take once your vehicle arrived at the pick up location for the United Road website to show your vehicle pending pickup. According to my dealership, my vehicle arrived at its final rail destination on Thursday night, but United Road still shows my truck as inactive.

Here's my data point. Went from "inactive" to "pending pickup" last week. I've been checking daily and there were two Lightnings going to my dealer (the other vin was the very next number, save for a single other digit change) and earlier this weekend the pending pickups dropped to 1 Lightning, and mine hadn't been delivered so I figured it was the other one that got delivered. Well, I take a closer look at the vin and it's the other truck still pending pickup, and my truck is gone from the system! I had a screenshot of the load number so I look it up and now it says 'cancelled'!

From what I've read on other forums your situation is not uncommon. It might mean that your dealer set up an alternate means of delivery.
