I woke up to find the 3.5.2 update was installed. I definitely notice that the regen on 1 pedal driving is not nearly as aggressive. There are still things missing from my Ford Pass app though.

My dealership told me yesterday it was sitting in Richmond, CA, which is north of Oakland and a major logistics port. Probably came via rail and is waiting on a truck to bring it down to Salinas.

I'm leaving for my delayed 250+mi camping trip... I'll report along the way...



here's some stats from a 'first day' reservation and 'first day' order...and a LOT OF PATIENCE !

and here's more 'tracking' details after the truck was 'BUILT'...

A) Used FORD CUSTOMER SUPPORT CHAT to get daily updates, especially looking for the 'RAIL CAR NUMBER' once loaded

B) Used NORFOLK SOUTHERN customer support TRACING phone call to input RAIL CAR NUMBER, which gives 'verbal' feedback of scanner location along the way. Finding 'which' train company that the truck is loaded on is a hunt and find proposition. Luckily, I guess I called the right number. Trains to Georgia or parts of the southeast are probably Norfolk.

C) Used Norfolk's online 'map' to try to locate where these rail yards/scanner locations were. It was not always listed on the map, but a google map search usually gave me a clue. The truck made pretty good time from when it actually started moving.

D) The first location was FLAT ROCK Mi. A day later, MELVINDALE Mi. Then, at the other end of the same yard, OAKWOOD Mi yard. These seemed like 'staging' yards, where the truck TRAIN CAR gets eventually broke from it's original train from Dearborn, and attached to it's main train in Oakwood(?).
Then: INDIANA, CINCI/N Kentucky, Akers/GEORGETOWN(Toyota), LEXINGTON, Bishop KY, Harriman/EmoryGap(Knoxville) TN, CHATTANOOGA downtown, (VW)Ooltawah TN, Waring/DALTON GA, ROME, Austell GA INTERMODAL, Eastpoint(ATL Airport) NS brakedown yard, moved to HAPEVILLE Auto Unloading Ramp yard......

E) HAPEVILLE's auto unloading yard is a large parking lot. Original information from Norfolk showed this as a transport yard for 2 or 3 transport companies, but it turns out none of that was correct. Fortunately, a call to one of the 'old' transport companies rendered info that HANSEN&ADKINS were now the auto transport hauler out of Norfolke Hapeville yard. A call to their customer support yielded info about the truck - first, unknown(maybe it has arrived there, but until Norfolk unloads it and parks it, it is not yet assigned a space and not yet in H&A's system). Several days checking, and then H&A provided that the truck was THERE, and assigned a space, but not yet assigned a transport hauler or ETA - 'older' vehicles are to be shipped out first, and 'full loads' are typical.

F) TODAY, a call to H&A yielded a better outcome: the TRUCK is loaded on a transported, ASSIGNED to a driver, and will be driven 150 miles south to my Dealer. That should arrive about lunchtime.

Notes: I found that the 'order track' website did nothing to aid my tracking, but I DO appreciate all the technical prowes that many here seem to have to help 'find' ways to track a truck thru this whole process - it's not easy. Fortunately, I had a LOT of time on my hands!
The WINDOW STICKER updated from 7/13's original issue date, to 8/11's 'build' date around Aug 11th. It did not change since then, and none of the build trim or options changed, which was a nice confirmation that all three OPTIONS were coming with the build.
Ford's own tracking information online, though, did not seem to correlate well with the actual timing and dates. Updates take too long, and emails, well, they just seem to come whenever they get ready to. But, maybe I was just reading them wrong, or expecting too much. The 'amazon two-day shipping and tracking' has spoiled us.

My 4 boys, who are 30(Fireman, married), 29(Computers, married), 22(Aerospace Engineering at UAH in Huntsville AL), and 19(Business/Finance at Young Harris college, N GA), are all VERY interested in 'Dad's' new electric truck - one already drives a Nissan Leaf. They are also dismayed it has take over 15 MONTHS from when I first starting 'talking about it'.... : )

When your truck left Norfolk Southern, NS, what did the NS phone trace system tell you? Did the NS system at that point just repeat last location or did it say, no trace information for that number? Mine shipped out 8 Sep, to Fl Panhandle, but trace yields nothing?

I do not like to hear this as I drive exclusively with 1 pedal driving. I also miss the regen on demand lever behind the steering wheel of my old Chevy Bolt. If you miss timed your 1 pedal stop, you could pull that handle for an extra bit of stopping power (I think the Hummer EV has this). It is really the only feature I wish other EV manufacturers would copy.

Don't know the exact date of shipping, but I got the "your truck has shipped" email on August 29th. Vehicle is awaiting shipment from Richmond CA to the dealership

It’s been a minute since I drove the demo truck at my dealer, but with regen set to max/high/whatever it’s called, I didn’t find it inconvenient (coming from a Model 3 LR in max regen).

It’s been a minute since I drove the demo truck at my dealer, but with regen set to max/high/whatever it’s called, I didn’t find it inconvenient (coming from a Model 3 LR in max regen).
All we get is an on/off option. Unfortunately there aren't multiple settings like some EV's have. I find the current level to be good for 99.9% of my 1 pedal diving, but will be upset if the level is reduced with the 3.5.2 update. I'd be happy if @Ford would provide 2 levels of regen braking (low/standard and high).

Ahhh maybe I went from off to on, then. I would also be unhappy if it was reduced - I really like Rivian's max regen, which is a little more aggressive than Tesla.

My delivery date got pushed back to 9/13 to 9/19, showing on reservation page and tracker. Talked to the dealer last week to get ready but I guess they're not getting more detail than what I get in terms of tracking. Or maybe I'm talking to the wrong person.

I guess this is obvious, but I don't think the amount of regen has changed, it just kicks in a little more gradually. I am adapting to it pretty quickly and think I probably like it better. But I agree it would be best if they had some settings.

the first Ford Chat was told to me that KansasCitySouthern was the railroad, but that was either not correct, or they were only the 'first' engine to move the railcar to it's next rail yard, where NorfolkSouthern then intervened to take it the rest of the way... I called at least twice daily, to the NS Tracing phone number, which gave me a voice reply, generally like: "your railcar's last location was 'scanner Oakwood, MI', or 'scanner EmoryGap, TN', etc. I also started calling many more time daily as it got closer. You'll not always see movement from the last location, but it actually moved rather confidently the whole way, when it actually left Oakwood, which seemed to be NS's rail yard for connecting a 'train' of rail cars going to the southeast/atlanta direction.
I used a combination of NS's own yard/terminal map, but mostly good-ol Google maps to 'search' the name of some of these locations, as they may not be 'city' names we are used to, but specific rail yard names.

depending on where you are in Florida, NS's terminal locations map might give you a hint as to the closest 'Auto Ramp' or 'Auto Loading Yard'...where your transport trailer company will then bring it to your dealer.
In my situation, Hapeville(ATL) SE of the airport, was the 'Auto Rail' yard, with assigned parking spaces. But, before it reached Hapeville, it stopped at Eastpoint(ATL) NW of the airport, where the train actually 'decoupled' the cars that were to be pulled over to Hapeville, a short several miles away.

Maybe noteworthy? My Ford d0t com account still has NOT updated to "shipped" status. (shop-Ford tracker updated to shipped on 9/6). Still shows ETA 9/15 - 9/21.

No contact with my dealer, but I haven't bothered yet.
