LightNING AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL today! Woo hoo! Pretty excited and my wife is too (shockingly). I was so bummed in march when I got the email telling me I wouldn’t be getting a 2022 model year and then out of the blue I got the email to order. I was almost positive it was in error. Hoping That driver makes good time and arrives safe and sound!

my transport delivery driver looked like she was almost about to jump the truck off the ramps when she put her foot on the 'pedal'... I don't think she had delivered one before, and didn't know the immediate 'torque' it was going to have.

Mine has made it to my home city by Rail. Now just waiting for transportation to my dealer. I'm hoping I will have it by the weekend.

My lightning arrived...and is BROKEN!

Friday morning (8/26) I received an email from ford saying my truck had been delivered. I confirmed with my dealership and they were able to get the inspections completed by that afternoon. After work I excitedly went to the dealership and picked up the truck. I drove it go eat, then home for the night about 45 minutes of driving total. I plugged it into a 110V overnight (waiting for my 240V adapter to be delivered). When I woke up on Saturday, the truck wouldn't fully start (only accessory mode) or drive and was giving a "Stop Safely Now" red message.

I called my salesman (as the service department is closed on the weekend) and his wife who works in service was able to forward some basic things to try and reset the error. After an hour and half of nothing working I called the tow truck. I went to the truck to get the mileage for the driver and lo and behold everything worked! I cancelled the tow and headed about my day running errands to include letting several friends drive the truck.

Later that day I needed to return to the dealership to sign some papers and pickup my other vehicle I left there. I had a friend drive my truck (who is in the market for a pickup) and after about 20 minutes of driving he "floored" it and that same error came up and the accelerator became unresponsive. We pulled over, turned the truck fully off and back on and luckily everything worked.

After finishing up at the dealership I returned to my truck to drive home and the same thing happened! Needless to say I left the truck with the dealership to see what's going on and currently have a loaner vehicle.

Overall I and everyone else who drives the truck love it...except for the fact that it literally is having issues within 24 hours of owning it. I personally am only slightly annoyed as I understand we are early adopters my wife and I have other vehicles we can use. I found a similiar issue with an owner on youtube and he said the fix was easy for him and will post his video of the resolution tomorrow. Hopefully it's just something similar to an MMC reset that Tesla owners occasionally have to do. I'll update as I hear back from Ford.

Oh, my truck was estimated to be delivered Sep 1 - 8 here in California and arrived 4 days early for those looking out for some hope for their deliveries.

Sorry to hear about any troubles, that's just defeating when you've waited so long with such anticipation... some of us have not only had no issues, we find it better than even expected, in many ways... . the power, the ease of driving, the comfortable 'vinyl' seats, the ease of towing, and the 'riding on a cloud' experience.... it's been a LONG time since I've had not only a new vehicle, but a new TRUCK!

Who knows what the issues might be, but hopefully the 'power down to reset' will work just like it does on my phone and laptop.

Mine was delivered today in CO. Dealerships are all closed on Sunday here unfortunately. I drove by, being a creeper, and didn’t spot it….

I drove through my dealership lot last night, only their mannequin was visible outside the building. If they have mine it would have to be inside the building, but they haven’t called me yet.

how are people tracking the rail shipments to CA? is there a post or thread I should read?

you have to CHAT with Ford to get your RAIL CAR number

then research and find out WHICH rail company delivers to your 'closest' metro AUTO RAMP yard

then find out if they online tracing/tracking, or a phone number to have someone help you find it's most recent 'location/rail yard/point'... and keep doing that as it gets closer and closer.

Mine was Norfolk Southern, and once I found their phone 'automated tracing option', I called religiously daily, or every 5 minutes, to see if there was a location name, and any change or movement from the last time I called. Norfolk southern also has a rail yard map, or google maps sometimes will give you an overview of a yard, or location, or a 'scanner', which is how they track these.

It definitely did exceed my expectation for build quality (materials), driving, and features... I am still super excited and am hopeful that it will be resolved quickly.
