My order tracker just flipped all the way back to Order Confirmed. fingers crossed that this means shipping is coming soon as noted by others that had the same happen to them. either that or Ford it tired of hearing from me daily and is punishing me

This message is confusing me. Did you opt not to take the truck you originally ordered and waited patiently for—for 2 years? And then order another, identical one? And why would the second one be cheaper from a different dealer? Please help us understand!

Great question.
Yes and yes. I placed my reservation on 6/3/2021 and order on 12/16/2022. During that time, the market dynamics changed.
When I learned of Long McArthur Ford in Kansas offering $5,000 below MSRP on a Lariat during September 2023, I started making phone calls to dealerships much closer to Cincinnati. I found three willing to match that deal. I signed a purchase contract and placed a deposit with a dealership 25 miles from my home.
My original dealership kindly refunded my $100 reservation and $500 deposit. No hard feelings. I'm expecting delivery of my new order in late December or so.
I'm saving $5,000. That's worth waiting a few more months. Additionally, the money I have saved to pay for the truck is continuing to earn 5.4 percent interest in short term T-Bills. It's a win-win for me.

Mine was delivered to the dealership yesterday! Going to go look at it this afternoon.

I wasn't planning on accepting it (got an ER in production now), but the someone suggested I do research and consider still buying this one and then reselling to Carmax or another Ford dealership. Has anyone heard of this?

I have had no updates on my scheduled 8/21 build.

Here is an interesting story. Yesterday my wife got a call from our Ford dealer saying that that plates came in for her MMe that we leased at the end of August. so after work we left for the dealership to pick up the plates. While enroute the salesperson texted me to ask for the VIN on the Lightning which she knew I was desperately waiting for. now keep in mind that as of 4pm yesterday my tracker was still showing that the truck had not even shipped. Well after I sent her the VIN (which of course I had memorized since I have entered it so many times) she texted me back "Surprise!!" with a picture of my truck. turns out it was being offloaded from the delivery truck as I was enroute to the dealership for a completely different reason.

When I got there it was just being parked. Olivia the salesperson took the keys from the person parking it and gave them to me so that I could take it for a test drive. Needless to say I was thrilled that it had finally arrived. in fact I got an email from Ford stating that the truck had arrived while I was out on the test drive.

The dealer needs to do the PDI and I am picking it up Saturday morning. There was another also being delivered yesterday so someone else is also very happy I would assume.

This explains why @Lucky26's truck arrived as well, seems like a convoy just took a bunch of trucks to the NJ area. Excellent!

I'm in the same boat. Did you have any extras added on? Spray in liner? Tonneau cover?
