What did you need to do to setup paak? Is there a prompt in the app? Is there something in the truck?Interesting. My PAAK works.

I think it was on the screen where you pair your phone. I can't remember for sure. What did you need to do to setup paak? Is there a prompt in the app? Is there something in the truck?
ill have to un-pair, then re-pair. Maybe that will repair the situation. If the wife and two impatient kids (10,12) were not with me I would have fiddled with things there. It was also lunchtime. To go by myself would have necessitated towing a car home....The only problem with not trading in a car with purchase.I think it was on the screen where you pair your phone. I can't remember for sure.
If you don't mind, please tell us why do you not plan to use it? I am trying to decide on it myself.I think it was on the screen where you pair your phone. I can't remember for sure.
EDIT: That might be to setup the backup code. I think PAAK is set up in the app.
To tell you the truth, I can't remember. I don't plan on using it.
This is what I did. I went with dealer financing with Cap One during pickup and I'm actively refinancing with Parsons. I signed the paperwork today and I was able to catch the 2.79% rate. Only thing I accidentally wasted was GAP insurance which is oh well.I finally got mine today. They would not sign a purchase agreement or a buyers order for me to send to the parsons. So I had go with their bank of America financing. I plan to refi asap. My dealer also forced their 799 paint and fabric protection.
Least I have my truck.
You're missing some stuff.Am I missing something. This isy home screen in the app?
IIRC, in order for PPAK to work you have to have the FordPass app running as you come up to the truck. With my FOB in my pocket, I can walk up to the truck and not have to take anything out of my pockets to get in it and start it. And FordPass is a battery killer to just let it run all the time.If you don't mind, please tell us why do you not plan to use it? I am trying to decide on it myself.
I guess I'm weird too, hate seeing apps idling when not in use, I constantly do a "close all apps" command when I am done with something.....And FordPass is a battery killer to just let it run all the time.
And the little key symbol on the top of my phone is annoying.
Yes, I'm weird.
I get you. I think ALL of these points together is more than enough reason to skip PAAK. I was unaware you could walk up to the truck with the fob alone and just open the door. From the 8/15 group… I shipped over a month ago.Oct 1 - Oct 7 has come and past... I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve everyday just waiting for the email/phone call that has yet to come... sad face.
True. I'm not deleting my PAAK, I'm just not using it.I don't plan on using my phone as much as having the ability to enter a pin and having full use of the truck. Without Paak you don't get the full use.
