Wow! I'm so glad that I got an update from Ford on my order (about an hour ago);
can't wait for the next update: :(:unsure:

If it’s any consolation, I just got the same email. With all the unknowns about the delay, I’m starting to wonder if it’s wise to take delivery of this thing, whenever that’s going to be

Also got this email. I'm still showing "in production" on the online tacker. Ford customer service says my truck was done being built around 8/17 and is awaiting shipping. But the online tracker's last update was 8/12. My only assumption is my truck is buried deep in the back of a holding lot. Maybe they'll dig mine out this week? I can only hope. Anybody know if a train to Northern California has left the factory yet? Customer service said they like to batch trucks going in the same direction as much as possible.

My status reverted back to "order confirmed". Same happened to someone in another build week. Taxmanhog says it's happened before (rare) but should revert back.

Completely understand your POV. Each of us has to do what is best for them. Assuming the Truck is actually shipped - I am still in at this point. I hope the extra quality reviews, resolves the issues.

Systems doesn't say it has shipped. In fact it tells me the status hasn't changed since 9/14.

CSP for battery still showing. What a shitshow Ford.

Ford is failing at trying to put a direct-to-consumer model they appear to be trying to put in place like Tesla - They are not clearly communicating to the consumer about the status or impact of issues in their direct ordering model (in process) and alienating their customers. Status updates are incomplete or emails sent out like you reference which provide snippets of data only. Ford pushes you to your dealer - but the dealer has limited info and complains about Ford mothership as the information. Ford needs to work on a customer-focused approach with better information sent to customers or offered at their contact centers. Really frustrating to consumers - especially people who have been waiting a long time and now dealing with new issues like the CSP (which it appears they pushed to the dealers.

I remain in for my Lightning - really frustrated by the customer experience or lack thereof.

2023 Ford F-150 Lightning Lariat (ordered)
Minor update: Tracker still indicates Built (09/26/23). Ford website has pushed back my estimated delivery to 10/03/23 - 10/09/23. This is the 2nd update to the delivery date in about a week and a half.

Also, I've been able to track where my Lightning is through the FordPass app for the past month, but as of Sunday, 10/01/23, vehicle location is disabled and the odometer went from 24 miles to 27 miles. So I can tell that my truck was driven a few miles for whatever reason - hope it was to complete final checks and load it onto a convoy truck.

Previous calls to Ford and the dealer for any more information have been fruitless.

You're not alone, same here; still in production since 8/15/23... No additional info from Ford customer service that I call weekly or my dealership for that matter.... 🙁🤔
