I'm a little confused. My truck says shipped but doesn't have an ETA. The window sticker says CONVOY but when I checked with Ford on chat they told me "vehicle is currently in the transit phase to be transported via Railcar # TTGX604467 (Canadian National Railways ) It is currently located at Ramp 51, in Flat Rock, MI." Why is it shipping by rail if my window sticker says CONVOY!!! Ugh!

I think they all say convoy because they are convoy from the Rogue to the rail yard.

Have you already documented here how vehicles go from MI to NJ via CSX/other? Is it possible to call the train company and give them a VIN to check shipping? As we all know the current Ford system is way behind so I would rather call shipping direct to see status. thanks!

No. I live on the pleasant side of the Mississippi so I am more familiar with UP than CSX. Once you get your railcar # you can start calling CSX's trace line for updates on the location of the railcar.

Has anyone thought about adding a bed cover to their Lightning? I’d like something lockable, but I don’t want to add a bunch of weight. Anybody know of some high-quality options?

Bugged Ford chat- still no update from them. Said waiting for rail car and estimated delivery still 1/5

Got my shipped email today - 2 days after it was loaded into train car. However, Ford now gives me an ETA! Ford says 12/27-1/2. Railcar is supposed to arrive on 12/23. Of course this has me hopeful for delivery before the end of the year.

Yesterday, I sent my dealer an email regarding pricing to try to get ahead of that mess. I'll be super pissed if the truck arrives on the 31st but they want to play games on the price protection.

Dealer let me test drive for the weekend. Smoke quartz metalic looks great- to bad they did away with that option. Also was able to angle it into the garage with plenty of room to spare

The blue they took away was 1st choice and that was a close 2nd. So, I ordered my 3rd choice. Ford had really terrible color choices for the Lightning though. It was basically red, blue/gray, or a beige or black.

The tracking data has shown deliveries beating that estimated end date. Good luck!
