$200 48amp Amazon charger

Been using this thing daily for a few months now, Monday through Friday, set anywhere between 36 to 40 A. No regrets yet. I still monitor the temps and check the plug for warmth daily.

But highly recommend getting a cheapo level two charger if the high dollar ones are outside your budget. Just be aware of the risks and monitor accordingly. Coming off of the Ford mobile connector. This was a game changer.

I love my cheapo non UL portable 40A EVSE to carry around in the car for trips and limited use. Recommend a UL or other NRTL approved US/CA made one for daily use.

I bought this EVSE “charger” from Amazon when it was only $179 back in October 2023. It comes with a 14-50p plug and can be hardwired up to 48 amp output. It also included a J1772 to Tesla NACS adaptor.

Shortly after I replaced it with a Tesla Wall Connector and it‘s now sitting in a box in my garage as a spare.
