The way Darren sounded in the podcast, sounds like it is way off. I can't imagine them offering lower than 15k, so i feel it'll be significantly higher.
Agreed. I think 15K is the bare minimum.

If they are targeting 80k in 2023 (model year), that is ~6,700/mo. If they start production in April and do a linear ramp through September (end of model year 2022), that would be ~20k produced April - September. If you want to count calendar year, and assume the ramp is through the end of calendar year 2022, that is ~30k produced April - December.

Agreed. I don't think there's any chance at all that the number would be lower. So, "that's wrong" translates to "we're going for a much higher number than that."

The 15k number was never from Ford. It was unsourced, and there has never been an official 2022 number. Since they are attempting to ramp up to 80k/year as soon as possible, we can safely assume that there will be a lot more than 15k in 2022. Ford just doesn't want to make any specific number-based promises yet.
Maybe. My latest intel from sources says maybe up to 20K but not a substantial jump from 15K. Besides, it's going to take a while to get the lines spun up and the earliest Lightnings will be 2022 1/2 (like the first Mustangs were 1964 1/2). With production starting in Spring it will be hard for Ford to ramp up much faster than that.

That number makes sense and is what I have been thinking as well - without inside info. It will also depend on when they switch from 2022 to 2023 production

75% of those have never owned a Ford. That is what I find most impressive.
