I am new to inverters so can someone tell me why I tried to plug in my electric weed eater leaf blower and I got nothing. Started it and nothing as well. Is that too much of an ask for the inverter?

400W is probably too low for those tools. I'm guessing those two pull 5-800 watts depending on the amps they're rated for.

Try plugging in something smaller or with less load to make sure the actual plug is working.

If it draws more than 3⅓ amps, it won't work. I'd say a better limit would be 3 amps or less.

Is there really any value in this? Heck, you have to have the vehicle running and it doesn't power much more than a light bulb. Lucky if you're not asphyxiated. Maybe I am missing something but but not sure I will ever have a use for it.

I agree. Disappointed that make this sound like it’s awesome or something. I could go back to the days of charging something using a cigarette outlet

You could plug your laptop into it and charge it. Or some other smaller electronic device. It’s better than nothing I guess.

Eh, good point. I guess I was thinking more about the 400w one in the truck cab.
