My observations for the good of the group:
My truck was delivered last August. Just over 8k miles currently. I live on the central coast of California…in essence no harsh weather. The truck has been babied and lives in a garage.
I’ve gotten the malfunction fault at least 40+ times since day 1. Basically 1-2 times a week and very random: accelerating, decelerating, relatively low speed, high speed, beginning of a trip, end of a trip. Truly no rhyme or reason.
I’ve thought the following as well:
So, about a month and 1k miles ago I finally got under the truck and everything seems to be visually okay. Sprayed a little “super slick stuff” (think WD-40) and not a single malfunction message since.
Take that for what it’s worth.

Did you ever try to lubricate the air dam tracks (WD-40...etc)?
