I'm seriously starting to wonder if I should move my reservation. I'm 43 out of 584 reservations. I ordered at 10:14 PM on the night of the reveal, so about 45 minutes after reservations started. Based on timestamp nationally, I'm guaranteed a MY22 order. Based on dealer allocation, I doubt it. Very frustrating!
You are guaranteed nothing lol. But I would absolutely call around and ask where you would fall at other dealers.

Very true, but with an unknown allocation for each dealer, it’s a problem. It’s also a bit disconcerting about what wave you may or may not be on. Just hoping and crossing your fingers every 2 weeks up until your name could be called, and being disappointed when it not.

Not to mention that tax credit too… I know to not depend on the tax credit, but it’s something to help ease the amount paid out.
If the tax credits are gone by the time I pick up the vehicle, I will cancel. I will not buy this truck without it.

Definitely agree. What I meant was if it was purely timestamp driven, there would be enough trucks in the MY22 production run to get one based on my order time, even just based on Jim Farley's tweet regarding the first 12 hours after reveal.

At this point, isn't it too late to move to another dealer (for MY22 anyway)? Dealer's submitted their list to Ford on Dec 17, and that's the list Ford is using to send out the wave email invites. Are dealers resubmitting this list before each wave (I doubt it)?

We don't know for sure, but the best guess is that you'd only be affected if you're moving to a dealer that submitted a priority list. The dealers had the option to send in a priority list last month and it's locked in at this point and can't be changed.

If your destination dealer didn't submit a priority list, the best guess is that you would be slotted line by your time stamp. We won't know if this is true until we get invites for the second wave.

The process is very opaque which makes it hard to make rational decisions. In retrospect, the smartest thing would have been to make a few reservations at a mix of dealers and cancel the remainder once you got an order invite.

Wish I knew. Probably too late for the priority slots but some dealers got a low number of those which could help. We also don’t know if a dealer chose not to prioritize anyone did the earlier reservations fill this priority slots? Or are there no priority slots at all anymore? If there are no slots it could work out to move and a dealer could tell you if they did prioritize but probably won’t.

Based on Farley’s tweets and other statements from Ford, everyone who reserved within the first 12 hours *SHOULD* be able to get a truck in 2022. *BUT* that will also be dependent on parts availability for specific trim options and juggling of allocations to cater to the bigger dealerships with more clout. Ford has shown us more than once, especially with the Bronco and Mach-E, that your reservation isn’t worth a whole lot. Yes, you need a reservation to have a shot, but the larger dealerships seem to have all the real control as to where these trucks will be sold and to whom.

Sorry, just feeling a bit cynical today. Also knowing how quick I was on the trigger making the reservation vs. where I am in line at the dealership is somewhat disheartening. And still having my day-1 Bronco reservation that I’ve never been able to convert. Don’t want it now, but I’ll keep holding onto it just to see what happens and because Ford keeps sending me free swag.

Just moved my reservation to a dealer that had one reservation. Says they are getting 4, think I'm good for a 22?

I’ll guess no. Despite lip service and given the number of reservations relative to supply, I highly doubt a dealer with 1 reservation is actually getting 4. Time will tell but I think they’re prob BSing to get your sale.

Well, it's such a small dealer the owner is the salesman too. I think he was very straightforward cordial, and well educated on the lighting. I'll roll the dice instead of going with a larger dealer.
