Anybody else notice the slight "Click" when starting off either in forward or reverse?

Any update on what the dealer had to say? I was planning to take mine in too.

They're saying it's not unusual and that others are doing the same thing. Regreasing the splines is only a temp fix, as it sounds like other are experiencing.

It’s odd that this issue would not have been identified in testing. It seems widespread and starts basically when you drive off the lot.

It took me about 3 weeks of complaining and having my car at the dealer numerous times but finally everything is good to go. Truck is quiet on starts and stops and all clicking noises are gone. I appreciate Ford and the mechanics at the dealer for being patient with me.

...there is a TSB on the way....I wonder if that's what they'll be doing?

Did they put the "chassis ears" on it to confirm it was just the front?

I have no idea. All I really know is what the work order said. Last week they torqued everything in the front to spec and the clicking went away but Ford told them to replace the front axles. All my clicking was in the front.

Mine has made the click noise since day one and I thought it was normal.
Miss-information on facebook had me think it was just a relay clicking or something turning regen on/off. I notice the click at stop and go with the window down.
Is this an issue I should get fixed?

Clicking noise started today on my lariat ER. Didn’t have it at all until now with 4,200 miles on it. I have an appointment with my dealer for next wensday they also have to fix my power tailgate. It started making a grinding noise and won’t power up. Feel like my trucks falling apart

Interesting if this is an actual possibility. I’ve been sitting at a rail yard 45 mins away for 6 weeks now. Build week was 9/19. Would they hold at yard with known issues? I would think they still want to delivery so they could be fixed prior to purchase.

When the TSB is released, and if it results in a recall/stop-sell, the repair work would be done at the dealer I would think. It's halfshafts. It's not hard.

On the other hand they may be waiting on a sufficient stock of replacement parts. So before sending the truck to the dealer to sit until the parts arrive they are leaving them at the depots?

On a F150 FB page, there is someone who said Ford rep notified him that his Lightning is delayed by a "Stop Delivery" order.

A Ford dealer chimed in and said the half shafts are the reason for the stop delivery order.

Could Ford have identified certain VINs with an issue such as this causing the huge wait times ?
