IMO, people have to stop comparing Ford to Tesla.

Ford is in competition with General Motors. And Jeep. And Toyota. And Honda, etc. Not Tesla.
Tesla is on a different path.

So the question is can Ford build EVs in say 2026 that are better than, or very competitive with the EVs that GM, Jeep, Toyota, Honda etc build? if Ford can do that, they will have a good chance to continue along.

I think Ford is in direct competition with Tesla. I looked at the Mach E and Model Y. I chose the Model Y for a number of reasons. If Tesla had a truck on the market, I would have compared the Lightning to it and made a choice. As it stands the Lightning’s only real competitor when I bought it was the Rivian. I chose the Lightning. All of the traditional manufacturers are compared to Tesla because Tesla produces a compelling product.
