Here is a Thule rack on my 18. moved it as well as the tonneau cover to my 21. It’s a heavy rack and slides along rails to any position. When not in use, you can slide the back rack up to the front rack. Stake hole mounted . Set up is a bit of a chore but it works fine , the only issue I have is because I have 157 truck, it’s a quad fold hard cover and the fold ups don’t fit through the rack at the back of the cab.

Great setup! Is it suitable for two 14 ft+ kayaks? I got a Thule rack before, specs are here and it's unsuitable for big kayaks to my mind
All the best!

thanks for doing the research. I need a ski/bike rack capable system with a cover and agree this is probably one of the best choices. I think having the frunk will reduce the amount of luggage we store in the bed, but for large group camping trips I still need the extra space.

If you're just putting skis or bikes then there are 3 main options usually used on tonneau covers that come with t slot rails - Yakima, Thule or Rhino Rack. Those are documented quite nicely on this thread https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/thule-yakima-rhino-rack-basket.3987/

Here's my setup with the Yakima bars

I had to google that water tank, what a great idea! Love these forums for shopping ideas. I think my accessory budget just went higher.

I’m going with the Retrax XR, so now I have a couple of weeks to decide on aluminum or polycarbonate.
I'm waffling on the BAK revolver vs the Retrax XR. I like the Retrax better but I hate the idea of having to remove it if I need the space in the bed. I'm leaning towards the BAK right now but I'm not 100% decided. I'll definitely utilize the rebate if I end up going for the Retrax.

I was going to go for the Powertrax XR but with the rebate, it'll make the XR an easier decision, I think. Having a power tailgate and a power tonneau cover too might be worth it to me haha

The powered ones are pretty cool but I couldn’t justify it to myself…which is rare. 😂

I've had the Pace Edwards Ultragroove Metal on my last two trucks. I went with it over the Retrax because the Retrax has a separate key I'd rather not have to deal with when going with their manual tonneau (not a concern with the powered versions). The canister does take up quite a bit of space, though, and it's not easily removable, so might be looking at the X4s or MX4 this time around.

I wanted to get the EGR rolltrac for the Lightning since it integrates with vehicle central locking and has open and close buttons on the actual cover instead of having to have another key fob (which my pace edwards electric is easy to get pressed in my pocket, so I keep it in the cab). Seems they only ship the one for the Gladiator in the US (and do full-size trucks in AUS / NZ). When I contacted them they said they expected f-150 to be available from April this year, so maybe soon...

Seems more like the ease of use of the Rivian one.
