@Pioneer74 With the batteries in, the front light bar turns on and a quick car lock chirp happens when the front doors open, which is nice looking. However when you plug in the charger another voice speaks in a foreign language non stop, which is obviously annoying.

Received mine yesterday. I bought one without the charger and one with. The non charger model doesn't have the voice, just the engine sound and lights. Has anyone figured out how to disable the voice?

I I was gifted the Red version today. I was curious to see how it looked and sounded with batteries in installed. It lights up and makes a double chirp, and the voice that speaks when the EV charger is plugged is as annoying as everyone has said. We tried using Google translate to see what was being said but it only could translate “Hey”.

If anyone is interested in turning off the sound I was able to do it. All the lights work either by opening the doors, pushing down on the front end or plugging in the charger. The ICE engine noise and Chinese voice are gone. For me that is waaay nicer than the sound. You can see in the attached pictures the speaker is just below the console. With two green wires coming from the circuit board. I cut the one coming from the left on the circuit board. There’s probably no difference in which wire you cut or I got lucky. Being a Pipefitter by trade I haven’t had much electronics training. Good luck.

Just got mine! Thanks for the tip. Now......I am dying to know what the "Chinese" voice is saying. Anyone know? I am speaking to a Chinese colleague this Friday, so I'll play it to him if no one else knows!

OK folks, i have an answer to this very pressing question. My Chinese-fluent colleague listened to the truck and gave me a translation. For background, when you plug in the charger, it says something, then pauses, then repeats something over and over. Those two things translate to:

When plugged in initially: "The vehicle is in environmental protection mode!" (He thinks maybe they were trying to relay "eco mode?"

After that: "The vehicle is fully charged, please unplug the charging gun". This repeats over and over, sure to drive you mad, until you unplug.

Now, we can all rest.
