I’ll just leave these here.
Got the cross path/blind spot fault warnings months ago. It turns out my tailgate safety cord occasionally gets tangled and it cracked a piece of taillight.
I caulked it to stop water from getting inside, since the parts are not readily available. Ford Says it’s my fault and it’s $1300 for a new taillight.

I had a person back yo and cracked my tail light with their mirror. They bought me a new taillight but in the meantime water go inot the light and ruined the sensor. Another cost for that. Very expensive fix.

Tail lights come with the sensors. That’s why they are $1300

I accidentally hit the top of my taillight very lightly with a wrench and a dime sized piece chipped out. My fault obviously but I was really surprised at how delicate the plastic is.

It makes me wonder how all these newer "advanced" parts are going to affect insurability going forward. I can see Insurance companies just refusing to cover some newer vehicles for being to prone to high cost damages. The cyber truck looks like it could be a nightmare for minor fender benders. I wonder if anyone other than Tesla is capable of fixing that stainless steel or if they are going to start totalling every fender bender. I might be imagining it, but I thought there used to be some rule that a vehicle shouldn't incur more than x$ damage in a 5 mph crash. I'm not sure a lot of these newer vehicles would pass that standard.

I have the same problem. A small crack lead to water, and broke the blis sensor.

dealer wants $3100 for a new assembly and to reprogram the sensor

I found a sensor on eBay for $39. Next I have to figure out how to use forscan to adjust the sensor ID. I will make a post once I figure this out

your guess is as good as mine. it happened several times. Even happened in front of the FOrd Technician and they finally replaced my light after 2.5 months
