When I am using my iPhone (latest updated, rebooted, etc) my phone drops the bluetooth constantly. I mean not once in a while but every day, several times a day. I have tried putting the phone ontop of the center dash try and down below with no changes. Any advise?

I'm not familiar with iOS, but in android, I can go into advanced wifi settings, to [Manage Networks] find the SSID for the truck wifi projection, make sure the auto reconnect is turned on.

Note that if you're in proximity to multiple auto reconnect networks, competition may overrule desired results.

I've disable automatic reconnect to my home wifi router on my mobile device, doing this improves initialization when I start my day from the house, negative impact is that I need to manually enable home wifi when I'm done dealing with the truck. This routine has improved reliable connections, but still subject to occasion disconnects

BTW, bluetooth perse is for basic communications, wifi connections is how your phone projects advanced application functionality

Have you noticed if it drops at the same place everyday? Mine drops at the exact same place everyday?

I've complained about this before. Since the beginning, mine drops consistently nearly every time I use my truck within the first 20-30 minutes of use.

If it's not that then it's a failure to connect at the beginning of the drive when I first start the truck.

I've wondered if the hangup is the fact that the truck is stuck talking to the house WiFi and not switching over to the phone (the truck appears to need two Bluetooth connections as well as a WiFi connection), so I've tried a few times to drive away from the house before I start troubleshooting but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Half the functionality shows up, but most often audio is not flowing through the system.

Sometimes I think I'm successfully juking the thing by changing apps from Spotify to SiriusXM or Apple Music.

Often though it does not work and I have to manually force restart the sync system (Hold the steering wheel volume down and next track buttons). and then usually it's fine for a while but then it'll drop out again later for no good reason that has nothing to do with location, number of 5G bars, or anything like that.

Oh yeah and the wireless charging pad is still garbage.

I've asked the dealership to look at it before and it consistently shows that the phone is charging for a minute or two, then stops. Total junk.

Same exact experience here. however, I think it has to do with the iPhone communicating with other devices and networks at the time of vehicle start-up. I say this because I really only experience this when i'm leaving my house and the office. What do those things have in common? The iPhone has several networks and devices nearby that it connects to.
My two cents, for what it is worth.

There's really no need to do this on Android (Auto) since it'll force-connect itself as long as you are connected to either bluetooth or WiFi, i.e. if it's connected to BT it'll turn on WiFi (even if it's off) and connect to the WiFi and vise versa.

It's really, really, really annoying the times when you do want to connect to a different WiFi network while in the truck.

But there's the TSB that MikeG posted about earlier that's supposed to address connectivity / stability issues with Android and Apple/Car Play.

In the summer / fall of 2022 they had not yet been "IMPROVED" the flakey process, so my methodology continues even if it's 'unnecessary' in 2025.

BTW, I'm done with iterative regression testing of functionality & failure, this should be done in the development lab not retail production
