That sounds like extra work. As others have said, set max charge to 50% and leave it plugged.

So sorry to hear about the broken bones. Please follow doctor’s instructions. I left my truck idle for over 90 days, not plugged in, while taking an extended trip. Somewhere between 14 days and 28 days idle, it went into deep sleep, as noted on FordPass. Following Ford’s recommendation for extended idle periods, I left it at 50% SOC. When I returned, it started right up, and the HVB SOC was 49%. I was impressed that in 90 days, it only lost 1%. There was no problem with the LVB. The temperature was not very cold, probably in the 40s through the 60s the whole time, which may not be that different than your heated garage. I agree with others that it seems to be fine without needing to worry about it.

Being plugged has a minor advantage, that when you need to re-starting charging can be done from the app without having to go into the garage.

Right! In fact, I did just that recently. I was plugged in at 50% while on a trip. On the day I returned, I set it up to 80% and it was ready to go by the time I got home.

My comment about it making no difference was only about vehicle health.
