Is there a way to set up CarPlay such that there is a phone tied to the driver profile. So if we both get in the car, it doesn't default to the last phone but rather to profile chosen?

I feel like my wife and I constantly have to change whose phone is connected manually

You can assign your phone to a profile only if you use PAAK, and I find that it still doesn’t always connect to the right phone.

Thanks. Right - we are having that issue despite having our phones linked to our profiles. A minor inconvenience, but would still like to see if anyone has had success.

Partner and I had iPhone 10's and had them assigned to the profiles. We upgraded this past year to iPhone 16's. In 2.5 years I think I only recall once or maybe twice where the wrong profile/wrong phone pulled up. It it always gets me, the driver. And truth be told that is me about 99% of the time as it's really my truck and I drive all the time.

I’ve been searching for an answer to this too, because for us it’s frequently an annoyance. If my wife drove it last and it’s parked near the house, it tries to connect to her phone even though I’m in the truck. It either never connects to CarPlay on my phone or is dreadfully slow to do so.
