Changed out Stock Wheels for Ford Performance Wheels

I am not a big fan of the stock 22’s that come on the platinum so I ordered a set of gloss black Ford Performance wheels 22x9.5 with Goodyear wrangler steadfast HT 275/50/22. I wanted to find a wheel and tire size that were as close to the stock wheels to minimize any loss in range.

Are you planning on selling the stock wheels and tires?

I'd be interested in any thoughts you have on range and noise changes.

I would be willing to sell them! So far only around 100 miles on the new wheel and tire set up but the ride so far is the same as when I bought the truck. The tires are just as quiet as the generals

Nice!! I almost went with that same tire but discount couldn’t get them until next week and I wanted to get them put on this week. A lot of great reviews on the nitto tire

Curious a year later what impact on range the wheels have had? I really like the look but trying to weigh the impact of wheel aerodynamics and weight. Many of the other examples in the forum also has a lift or level. Yours appears to be stock suspension, right? Would serve as a great data point!

Yes , my truck has been at stock height. I’m averaging around 2 kWh with the ford performance wheels which is about the same range I averaged with the stock 22” wheels that came with the truck. When I bought the wheels and tires the weight was very close to the weight of the stock wheel and tire combo. I will be getting the Eibach pro truck lift stage 1 and adding some all terrain tires keeping the same wheels. I haven’t decided on the tires yet. Still doing some research. I only drive around 30 miles a day for work so I’m not too concerned with the loss of range.
