Charging as it should be at Tesla Magic Dock Supercharger

2nd time I've used a magic dock Tesla and this time with the Ford plug and charge software update was just perfect. No drama, no looking at broken screens on EA station and no Bolts filling every station. I parked far right handicap and waited in case it was needed. But 20 min I was at 80% and on our way. The family was way happier then the EA experience in Walmarts. We could have left and got food but decided just to chill a bit. Can't wait for an adaptor to show up for more road trip options

How did you get the update? That's my problem. Haven't gotten an update in over a year...

I'm now checking my truck in Greece with the app, it is slow charging to 100%. Pretty cool, I wasn't confident in the charging situation at airport so did a Tesla charge.

So...you're currently in Greece, parked your truck at the airport on a Tesla L2 Destination Charger, and will leave it there the entire time you're away? Just making sure I understand.

Edit: I just checked PDX, and they have the same thing: L2 charging stations available in all parking lots. Who knew?? I personally would be paranoid about leaving my vehicle plugged in unsupervised while gone for more than 30 minutes, let alone a week or more...but maybe I'm just untrusting of my fellow humans...

It's a private parking garage, actually a very large indoor building and not public. The charging is on my Ford charger plugged into a 110 outlet. There are mostly Tesla there on their own chargers. I did a fast charger, aka a magic dock on the way just in case the garage reservation didn't work out. It did so next time I'll probably not bother with the magic dock station and save some money. I ran the cord just a bit under the front tire to not make it easy to take. But this is a pay parking garage with security so unless the Tesla guys want to take a Ford charger I think I'm good.

This is what I do if I need to leave my mobile charger in a public place. The other end of the cable is looped through the tow hook on the front of the truck.

I wouldn't recommend using MasterLock, look up the LockPickingLawyer on youtube to see why. That said, a show of security is often enough to avoid a crime of opportunity, good idea.
