I recently had to return my 2023 XLT 312a back to Ford due to unresolved steering issues. I am considering a replacement Lightning, but unfortunately they dropped the 12" screen and physical controls for any 2024 Lightning with an extended range battery. Instead, you have to use the 15" screen. I test drove a Flash the day I returned my 2023. I could probably get used to the 15" screen controls, but I wondered what other differences there are.

I am aware all 2024 Lightnings have a heat pump. The Flash has the upgraded B&O audio system (sounded much better than what my 2023 had). I am aware that AC charging is down to 11.5kw (48a) instead of the 19.2kw (80a). Looking at the build options, it appears that the Flash mysteriously dropped the rain-sensing wipers? My 312a had it. Can anyone confirm this? Any other differences I should be aware of between a 2023 XLT 312a and the 2024 Flash trim?

For 2024 Lightnings, the online configurator is a joke. You can’t add any packages or anything to price it out. I can’t figure out how to tell what equipment is even included in a package.

I’m stuck in Lemon buyback purgatory, so if I decide to pick up another Lightning I may be looking at 2024s as well assuming I get a settlement sometime before the heat death of the universe.

Just visited my dealer this morning and found out that FORD is offering some killer finance deals on 2023 and 2024 Lightnings and MachEs.

Can’t quote them, but like 0% for 60 and .9 for 72. Sure beats 5.5 I’m carrying on my 2022.
