When using cruise control there are continuous warnings to keep hands on steering wheel regardless of my hand positioning. Very annoying on road trips.
Any fix or previous threads on this subject?

Lots of other posts on this. You need to jiggle the steering wheel. It doesn't know that your hands are on the wheel by touch or having a hand on it. It needs a steering input either left or right. It is a torque sensor. It is a bit annoying since most people only give a steering input if you need to change the direction of the vehicle.

Funny, we just had a big thread discussing this. Well discussing how Ford doesn't really explain how "keep hands on wheel" is determined.

At the end of the day Ford determines if your hands are on the wheel through steering input. You have to put a bit of pressure turning the truck. If it gives the alert turn left or right some.

Or, get a small weight and hang it off one side of the wheel when you need it.

Steering sensor is looking for some light torque, not touch.
