and turned out it was more than 115mi?

148mi?
I think they are all going to end up with very similar towing range. The Tesla will be slightly more efficient but the Ford will have more battery (edge to Ford). When you start towing bricks there will need to be the equivalent saying of “there is no replacement for displacement” like “towing power is in kwh”, except power is not energy but it rhymes better, maybe just “biggest battery wins”. The next race for towing will be for fastest pull thru charging. That seems to be a draw right now with the CT having native SC access but the Ford having the charge port at the front so you can pull in. Until there is pull through and Tesla bumps the CT charging speed it will be a Ford edge with SC access.

Only thing I am concerned about with a Bigger Battery is weight and cost to charge outside the home.

if that’s in reference to

I guess all I have to say is:

I don’t feel I’m doing anything more/less than I’ve done with the Lightning for 2 years

sift through the brand tribalism, FUD, and claptrap to understand what these trucks really are/arent

if that same tribalism/FUD/claptrap makes me some whispered joke over here, too, it’s no surprise. Over there I’m beat up for being a F150L fanboi, and it’s no surprise the same mindset exists over here.

I take them to task on it plenty:

But at the end of the day, no surprise my recent post over there stays relevant here, too:
I 'lurk' over on that forum and enjoy reading your posts. Very rational and fact based so it makes some of the people's head explode when you hit them with logic.

I like the idea of the cybertruck and the technology improvements they've made. Some cool engineering. But head to head against the Lightning, the AWD is on par, surely not 'far superior' which is all we heard about over the last few years while the Lightning was being bashed. Now it's out and range and charging is similar, lots of excuses and drivel being spewed to make people feel better.

CValue13, Keep up the good work!

I also lurk over there. I wanted to know how much worse the lightning was going to be compared to the CT, then I saw the release specs. After 4 years the CT seems not completely baked. It’s smaller than the lightning, doesn’t have more range, and has a long list of things the lightning has but it doesn’t that are useful to me every day. The hype really took over those people. It’s worse than apple fandom. It’s got some neat things technology wise, but new technology becomes old technology quickly, so what will be left for the cheerleaders when that happens?

Our lightnings are far from perfect, but they still seem, 2 years in, to be no worse than Tesla’s new CT offering.
