Dim section of light bar?

Random question- Is it normal for the part of the light bar on the headlight to be dimmer right where it meets the hood?

I've wondered the same thing. It doesn't seem quite right, and I'm betting many wished it wasn't, but unfortunately, there is likely a 100% chance Ford's answer to it is "As designed".
