Do people hate Lightnings?

We’ve had specialty plates on our EVs for over 8 years. Never had an issue.

I wouldn’t park my truck or car near a Trump Rally.

Here are the plates on one of our Teslas and the Lightning.

I do occasionally get cars behind us at a red light take a picture of our plate.

Only genuine curious questions from public works crew bosses, service truck owners, retired blue collar workers, & similar. They tease me in a good- natured way but all respect my comments. My father was well known around the county, a scientist because of WW2, a journey-man electrician before. That his son would drive a BEV was not surprising. While waiting for a haircut, a gruff driver of a KW service truck who had just finished walked right up & asked me serious questions. I answered straight up: powerful, looks to be low maintenance, charge at home-business is inexpensive “fuel”. Easy 50 mile work radius, possibly 75-100+ mile depending on load & road. Quiet, smooth riding. The Lariat ER is pricey, wait. They’ll drop in price.

Been all over Idaho and people have only been curious. Had the truck for for almost a year now with no issues.

when people see the frunk they can’t believe it.

all ask how I like it and what’s the range!

My experience has been similar to most others in that I only get a reaction when I open the frunk. A few have stopped to ask about my experiences with it and seem impressed. We will finally take an extended trip to Erie to see my daughter's new home, about two hours away and probably need to stop on the way. I have only used my home charger for the Lightning but made a special trip to see "how to" with our 21 Mach-e. The hotel we'll stay at has EV chargers available for customers.
