My trial is coming to an end this month but I’m not sure it’s worth $495 to renew for a full year. I’ve heard that some Mach-E owners got a promo to renew it for less but I’m wondering if any Lightning owners have gotten deals before?

I think that promo may have only applied to early 2021 owners. Same thing was offered to early adopters of the F150, too.

I have never seen a "sale" per se, but the price of BlueCruise has definitely come down over the years. As a 2021 Mach-E buyer, I was offered 3 additional years of BC for $600 due to delays with improvements to the service. If I recall correctly, the original price of a year of BC was set at $800, which was definitely not something I would have ever considered paying for. I will only ever buy BC at the occasional monthly rate for my Mach-E, but for my Lightning, which we drive on the vast majority of our long trips, I will likely end up paying either the full year price or I will purchase monthly activations more frequently.

I hate to break it to you, but $495 is the sale price.

https://media.ford.com/content/ford...-bluecruise-annual--monthly-plan-pricing.html

Some early Bluecruise users got it at the original price. I believe it was $300 for 3 years.

It was that price because, like my early build 2021 ICE F150 Lariat, I paid about $2100 for the Bluecruise hardware package but the software wasn't ready. When they turned the service on, via an OTA, we were given 1 year free. After the year we could pay the remaining total for what the newer cars were paying for it from the factory.
