link? She also missed the 2 USB-C ports at the bottom of the center console and said that USB was limited....
Overall though, great video and yes, CarPlay is a dealbreaker for me.
I used to own Pixel phones. Now I have Apple phones. Car Play is nice but I can use Google Maps or the Ford native Nav system or Waze.No CarPlay, no deal.
The midgate on the Chevy is great and I am jealous of it; but the F150 frunk is better than the Chevy's. I think that is pretty equal. If you need to put a kayak, lumber, etc. on either you don't even need the midgate you can just buy a $70 extender. Can't make the frunks any larger. That's nuts they gave equal scores for "Storage". The verbal summation they gave was because (paraphrasing): "Chevy has the mid gate and Ford has the work station surface."
N-no? That's crazy. I love my Lightning but that mid gate is amazing. Easy win for the Silverado. Probably just bad editing.
I'm also a little annoyed that they listed the Lightning's payload capacity at "2235 lbs". No way the Lariat that they tested is that high. It's closer to 1800 lbs.
Does anybody have a F150L with a payload capacity that high? This PDF states that number for the standard range Pro and 1913 lbs. for the Flash. The door jamb sticker in my Pro says 2092 lbs. and just yesterday I was wondering what specs or options on my truck contributed to the reduction. Asking out of sheer curiosity.I'm also a little annoyed that they listed the Lightning's payload capacity at "2235 lbs". No way the Lariat that they tested is that high. It's closer to 1800 lbs.
Probably close to it. The footnote appears to indicate that number (1913) is for the Flash trim. From that PDF it appears the 2235 spec is for the standard range battery models. So the Lariat that was tested would be 1913.
Respectfully, I disagree. I think the midgate offers a lot more versatility than the extra 4 cubic feet of Ford's frunk. All things being equal I would gladly trade that frunk space for something like a midgate. The midgate on the Chevy is great and I am jealous of it; but the F150 frunk is better than the Chevy's.
