Tesla also recommends 80% daily charge for the NMC based vehicles. AFAIK Tesla doesn't do reserve battery, so 80% may be their actual 80% for charging purposes. However, I do not know how Ford calculates our visible battery percentage. If its based on usable instead of total capacity, 90% is possible our equivalent of the 80%.

The Math:
The Lighting ER has a 143.4KW battery with 131KW usable. 80% of 143.4 is ~115 and 90% of 131 is ~118.
Lighting SR is 98/107.6 The math for that is 80% of 107.6 is ~86 and 90% of 98 is ~88.
Pretty close! ~97% for both battery sizes comparing 90% total to 80% usable.

Ford recommends 90% for daily use.

Also, Tesla used to recommend 90% charge but dropped it to 80% these past couple years.
