Can anyone point me in the right direction as to this exclamation mark and what signal do I not have maybe ?

I think that's an "i", not an "!".

It looks like your TCU may not be provisioned for the UK area. (Assuming that's where you are). Or something else is going on.

thanks but have changed the Tcu for a uk one so all works inc software updates but the screen shows this ?

Found this for Sync 3, but it is the same icon set. Shows that icon meaning "Wifi in range". Nothing to worry about.

It is telling you that there are wi-fi networks available. The other one is telling you that it is sharing location and vehicle data.
