Just curious since I'm diving in head first to the Lightning ER specifically for travel trailer towing purposes: what's your towing scenario?

I've towed a Nobo 16.5 and now an Escape 19 with my 2020 Tacoma TRDOR. I flog the shit out of the engine to get it into the usable RPM range (3500-4500) and still generally manage about 12 mpg towing the Escape 19 (it would get 10 mpg with the Nobo). So I'm entering this realm optimistically hoping that I'll be able to squeeze out 150 miles towing the Escape 19 with the Lightning Lariat ER.

Being in Seattle, we have lots of camping options within 150 miles with only a handful of places we regularly go topping out at about 175 miles away or so.

We'll see if I come to regret dumping the Tacoma...

I can squeeze out 1.1-1.2 mi/kwh towing a micro minnie 2100BH under ideal ambient conditions at 65mph. The 2100bh is 7'W x 11'H x 22'L with tandem axles. I think the height of the escape is lower than my trailer, so you may be able to get 1.3 mi/kwh.

I think the height of the escape is lower than my trailer, so you may be able to get 1.3 mi/kwh.
I think this is the dimension that saved me so much mileage over the NoBo. The width of the Escape tucks nicely behind the width of the Tacoma, so the Lightning will only be better. But yeah, the height compared to the NoBo is what I assumed was the biggest contributing factor.

(actually looking back at this photo, I bet those fender flares on the NoBo did a number on aerodynamics as well)

my 3,000lb NAVI single-axle, or our 3,000lb VIKING single-axle camper, nets me, with very conserative driving speed in my PRO, at about 1.2-1.4 m/kwh... so I can squeeze out 120-140 miles if I'm careful...

our jont from west central Georgia down US19 to south east Tallahassee is right at 135 miles - so I can usually bypass the need to stop at the EA Chargers in N Tallahassee, or even the FREE Chargepoint in S Tallahassee, to arrive at our RV spot, where I then have 240v power...

I'll believe it when I see it from what FB has described it is supposed to do. I just logged on for the first time today, I guess they lifted the NDA? Maybe we need a thread to hear the feedback from those of you that have been testing it.

You have to believe they are working with Tesla to get this done for next year when we can charge on Tesla network. And if Tesla is involved it will work well.
