Not sure if this is typical but when my truck is charging there's a loud hum. It's like you can literally hear the electrons surging through the line.
Unfortunately the main panel is outside the wall on the other side of my bed, the conduit runs down the same side of the house that our bedrooms are on and the charger is near the front of the house. At midnight you can hear the truck charging outside (joys of a 60 year old home with thin walls)!

Also, I have the dipswitch set to 80A because I was thinking about installing the home integration system but have opted not to would reducing that rate to 60A or 40A make a difference in the noise?

Just want to make sure this is normal and nothing is going to BLOW up on us.

It’s probably the wires vibrating at 60HZ in the conduit. Lowering the charge rate will definitely help.
The charge setting is not at all related to whether or not you install the HIS.

I charge at 80 amp setting, I've heard the hum as well, lucky for me the entire charging circuit, EVSE, metal conduit to load center is in our detached garage 60+ feet from the house, the garage has a separate service feed so we never hear this inside the house, but when I'm in the garage, it's noticeable, it's also been this way from day one when everything was installed in the fall of 2022.

If you can tolerate a slower charge rate, the hum should become more tolerable.

Have you tried adjusting the rate using the Fordpass /FCSP app?

I know that it's less than reliable, but give it a shot, if you're not successful with "virtual control", shut off the feed breaker, open the cabinet and dial it down to a lower rate.
