First DC fast charge

Took my truck to the closest (12 miles) DCFC in my area to test my newly acquired NACS to CCS1 adapter. And hold and behold it works! I got a rate of 180kw for a good while (sorry I do not have OBD scan capabilities yet so no exact data to share) and then settled to 156kw until I hit the 80% SOC. This was from 25% to 90% charge. It took 48mins as the charging curve between 80 and 90 drops significantly to the 50s kw.
I have a '22 platinum with the latest ECG and 10.1.1 software update. Happy customer so far .
Not too sure if it is specific to my location but these tesla cables are short!! I had to park almost over the curb and in between 2 stalls to plug in... I guess poor site construction

Not poor site construction. The Tesla charging cables and the dispenser positioning, especially on the older stations, was designed to accommodate Tesla vehicles that all have charging ports on the driver side rear corner. That’s why you see Teslas backed into the charging stalls. The new V4 dispensers have slightly longer cables and they are spaced differently at new stations.

Is this a V4 charging station? Looks nicer and the cable is longer. By the way this one is up in Canada. Do we have any here in the US yet?

Those are V4 cabinets. The location can still be V3 with V4 cabinets. Yes, there are many in the US.

They're all like that, just embrace the suck and revel in Tesla people making Tesla faces at you. EV schadenfreude. By and large it's a software change only to these chargers, no hardware upgrades as far as I know.
