I'm only 2 weeks into (very happy) ownership. I have a Wallbos Pulsar Plus installed at my house. I'm wondering if people see clear benefits of using the Ford Pass app vs. the smart charger app to tell the vehicle to charge during off-peak hours. Obviously other features like preconditioning can only be done from the Ford app, but the wallbox app does seem to provide some helpful info. Do I need to use two apps? Do people prefer using one or the other for charging schedules?
Thank you!

Hopefully the wall box app gives you some useful information in a reliable format, the Ford Pass app charging details can be intermittent, but it's most useful functions are scheduling preconditioning times when warranted, [cold winters] otherwise scheduling the charging phase via the wall box EVSE might be useful, but mixing the two protocols might cause you problems, if you fully rely on it, then either do not set too complex of time limitations in Ford pass, simply build a anytime profile that limits only your maximum SOC, then let the wall box be the timed controller, this MO should ensure you are compliant with the TOU requirements and you earn your energy credits.

I set both. This allows me to prevent the vehicle from pulling power without my direct intervention. My off-peak is 7PM - 11AM Mon - Fri, and all day on the weekends, so I almost never need to override it. In very cold weather, when the vehicle might want to warm the battery during peak time, it can't (but it doesn't have to).

I use a Grizzl-E at home. I like the Grizzl-E app better because it keeps a log of power usage so I can bill it back to the farm for taxes. Ford pass does not do that. Charge scheduling does not work for me. I am frequently using 120kw or higher and to target off peak rates would leave me without a full charge when I need it.
