Ford Pro Charging Station included with extended range battery

Hi all,

Everywhere I read online says Ford pro charging station is included with extended range battery

I purchased a Lariat ER and only received standard charger. Dealer told me only platinum trims received the pro charging station, is this true?

There are 3 chargers offered for 2023 model buyers.

- Mobile - costs $500, typically as part of the window sticker - works with 110 volt wall outlets and 240 volt 30 amp L14-50 outlets (4 pin). I had to ask the dealer for the an L14-50R to L14-30P adapter (that was supposed to be in the kit but was not). That lets the mobile charger connect to the 240 volt outlet in the back of the truck so I can charge another car or connect another L14-50 device. or charge from some RV outlets.)

- Ford Connected Charger - 48 amp. Around $799 if purchased when I looked.

- Ford Charger Pro - 80 amp (can be dialed down.) Around $1300 if purchased when I looked. Requires 100 amp circuit and copper wire for the last leg.

I had to ask my dealer (they did not tell me until I asked) who then registered me with Ford. I then had to connect to the Ford site and request a free charging station. I had a choice of the Ford Charger at 48 amps or the Ford Charger Pro at 80 amps. Either one was free. They did NOT include installation. The Ford Charger Pro arrived 2-3 weeks after I requested it. Sat in the box a few weeks while I got trenches dug and breaker box + 100 feet of wire run for an outside install.

I hear there is a deadline for ordering your "free" charger. Looks like new buyers get free installation, in some cases.

This is an old thread from last year, when SunRun was handling the Ford Charger pro.

But took over a month for SunRun to ship and the truck came with mobile charger from the dealer
