Front Bumper Peeling

I have some paint peeling on my 23 Lariat. Has anyone else experienced this? I brought it to a Ford dealer with a body shop and they are confident they can fix under warranty. Still annoying though as I will likely be without my truck for a couple of days. I am unable to find touch up paint for the gray plastic bumper.

I was basically told not to get my hopes up about a loaner…

My rule when buying a new truck, is walk around it, make sure it is perfect. When you are satisfied, then give it a good hard kick that marks it! Now you can park it anywhere and not worry about someone putting the first mark on it.

Mine is a week-day truck...and a weekend grocery cart !

-truth be told. I make sure I wash it on Thursday night, so it is clean for the grocery-cart-part on the weekend !

Very easy to nick the paint; wish the paint was tough like our washing machine. Below is my rear bumper area scratch & flake...I swear it wasn't me, but it probably was. There are Ford TSB's (G0000108 and TSB 19-7033 paint concerns) showing examples of how a dealer should examine and or test to see if should be covered by warranty. There is a mention of a masking tape pull off test. I wonder if the various cheap to expensive ceramic coatings are any good, compared to a full on paint protection film?

I have PPF on the painted sections of the bumper, side mirrors, light bar and headlights. My installer said PPF doesn’t stick to the plastic bumpers unfortunately.

It's a truck..... I use a shovel in my truck bed on
Bare paint while throw mulch when I mess it up enough I'll get a sprayed in bed liner at this rate they won't even have to scuff it up

I had much worse on my front bumper. I used Black bed liner paint from Amazon and its a perfect match you cant even tell. The dealer also said they would respray but I didnt want to deal with not having transportation...

Good note/ Did you tape it off and spray it?

yes I taped it off, sanded it and wiped it down with acetone. gave it multiple light coats. It was just the bottom part of the bumper so it blends right in with that Black plastic air dam.
