Except if you are trying to hook up a trailer. Then you don't want it to switch the view when you shift between forward and reverse. Because you are only going forward a foot or two to get moved over a couple inches to get the hitch aligned and you need to see the back hitch view to do that THE WHOLE TIME, even when you shift to Park.
