Just imagine a Chevy bolt meetup where they’re taking every available stall…
That’s the stuff of nightmares right there! I already have had my fill of Bolts hogging up EA chargers. I’m not looking forward to seeing them now that I almost exclusively charge at Tesla now.

the duality of GM owners. MEGA 200 KW packs, probably takes an hour+ to charge at a Tesla station due to 400V limitation at Tesla. And then theres the Bolt bois who also take an hour to charge to 100% at a tesla station because of their slow charging rates and camping behavior.

Just to be clear, a charge port at the rear driver’s side of a pickup truck makes ZERO sense, because you can’t charge with the tailgate down.

You can have a full load in the bed of our trucks and still use a supercharger without being totally obnoxious. With a Cybertruck, loaded with the tailgate down, you’ll have to pull up perpendicular to the chargers taking up at least 4 spots, because the cable won’t reach with the tailgate down.

Bolt bashers should remember that our big ass inefficient Lightnings are guests at superchargers as well. The fact that we were invited to the party a little earlier, does not give us more entitlement. It reminds me of this clip (The point is not about politics):

You’re right about us all being invited, however, I consider myself a good “guest” at these Tesla superchargers. The longest I have spent at one is 38 minutes. Most of the time I’m only there for 15 to 20 minutes.
It’ll be interesting to see if the Bolt bros are as considerate.

I try to do the same but I am a bad guest simply by having my charge port on the wrong side of my truck.

With regards to Bolts, I think it has more to do with how informed people are vs what they drive or how considerate they are. I don't know this for a fact but my guess is a lot of Bolt drivers love to hug a tree but can't afford a Taycan and don't feel comfortable driving something as big as Lightning. Many of them like my wife try to avoid buttons or anything technical. They buy the Bolt, drive it off the lot and can barely find the charging port let alone know about the charging curve.

I think we should treat tech phobia as a disability and be patient with those that suffer from it. To be honest, I feel like I am coming down with a mild case of it myself. Hopefully many of the Bolt drivers will be driving 600 mile Apteras soon and won't have to stop at a supercharger that often or if they do, it won't be for long (10 mi/Kwh is mighty sweet).

I am not a “guest” at a Supercharger. I am a customer. Tesla fans need to get over the fact that they now need to share. Bringing in users like us pays for the network.

I am courteous. I thoughtfully pick my charging stall to have the least impact (grab the rightmost one when I can). I’ve been a good charging citizen for years on variety of networks. With that, I have just as much a right to be there as someone driving a Tesla.

You are missing the point. It was not you having less right than Tesla owners, it was a Bolt driver having the same rights as you at a supercharger.

I have never been a fan of Tesla (I don't like the relationship the company has with the owners) but I understand if some of owners don't like to see us there (I have not met one yet). Most of Tesla owners on the road, bought their vehicle when they didn't have to share the superchargers. Kind of an unwritten contract which states, they are paying extra for that advantage.

Elon didn't ask them if they are OK with sharing. It is kinda like getting cheated on by your wife. You know it is the wife that did the cheating but you go punch the other guy. We are the other guy. All that said, I have gotten thumbs up from Tesla owners, had friendly chats with them while charging at superchargers but so far never got an attitude.

When there was a charging team, they have been monitoring the demand and responding quickly so hopefully, this will not be much of a problem.
