Yup, it has been and still is a nice little truck, but after sitting in and driving a full size, it's nice to stretch out a bit. I actually have to move the seat forward a bit. In the Honda, I am always hitting my knee on the lower left dash.FWIW, I went from a 2008 Ridgeline to a 2023 Lightning Pro ER. I loved my Ridgeline but I bought it when I was single. A wife, two kids, and a dog later I just needed more space.
Was a great decision. Don't miss the Ridgeline at all!
I'm pretty sure his quote of $65K would include the Federal Tax Credit. If not, you'd better buy it right away before they figure out their mistake LOL! What does it have for options that got the sticker on a Flash up to almost what my Lariat's MSRP was?Ok, i just got back from test driving a Flash. I was very impressed with the power and how quiet it was. Very easy to drive and very comfortable. I'm thinking that with the overall increase in size of vehicle vs the Ridgeline, the shorter bed may not matter. The bed is wider, the area in the back seats is larger and the trunk is bigger.
Sticker was 78k, but after checking with finance, he said without any heavy negotiating, 65k would be an easy target. I don't know if he is including the $7500 credit in that number.
The Flash trim has just about everything I'd want. I actually prefer the cloth seats and I don't care if every surface isn't soft touch.
The only thing I could find to knock is the center armrest storage. It would be nice if the springs to open it were a bit stronger so it stays open and the little tray inside slides back and forth when cornering. Definitely not deal breakers, but still, your spending 70k+.
So, all in all, a very nice truck. I'm probably not going to do anything until the end of the month, at a minimum. There is still a part of me (getting smaller) that thinks the PB with the bigger bed is the way to go.
And I need to look into electrical on the house side and figure out what I would need for that.
Hmmm, sounds fishy. I won't even buy from a Dealer that puts additional markup on all their vehicles. That Flash should have an MSRP of $72,385 and the 20" wheels are standard. So if they are taking the $7500 federal tax credit off and selling it to you for $65K, you're paying a bit over MSRP. Any other dealers in your area?I took a pic of the sticker, but there is a lot of glare. The funny thing is, the sticker was at 78, the ADM sticker next to it had it up to 82k or 84k. When I looked up the sticker on their website, they have it at 72k.
They had $1200 for Pro Power
Max trailer tow for $1100
Bedliner for $550
Twenty inch wheels but it didn't have a price. I don't know if the Flash comes with those. It may have been over on the ADM sticker.
I've replaced my center console tray with a full size tray. It has to be removed to access the large lower level so it might be annoying if you want to access it frequently, but it works for me. I don't recall the smaller tray sliding around. Maybe it stays put once it has a little weight in it...or maybe someone on a test drive takes corners in a different manner than an owner who is responsible for the tires. The only thing I could find to knock is the center armrest storage. It would be nice if the springs to open it were a bit stronger so it stays open and the little tray inside slides back and forth when cornering. Definitely not deal breakers, but still, your spending 70k+.
