EVs are a choice, but look at what's coming down the pipe. Would you invest with this as a future??

The Executive Orders. Writing on the wall.

Elimination of EV Mandates: Section 2(e) of the EO states a clear intent to eliminate the “electric vehicle mandate,” promoting true consumer choice and removing what it calls “unfair subsidies” for EVs.

Freeze on Infrastructure Funding: Section 7(a) orders a pause on the disbursement of funds for electric vehicle charging stations, including programs under the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program and Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Discretionary Grant Program.

And for the projects already funded, I sure a few of those won t build.
Sadly, the "orange Jesus" in office now will not stop subsidizing the Oil industry. Thats different than EV apparently. This may slow down the development of EV's in North America but the rest of the world will power on. Four years from now, North America will be even further behind the Chinese. So much for American exceptionalism. If you can't compete, put a tariff in place and distract the public and say you are still the best. Really sad state of affairs.

This is what I've been seeing too, although people who voted this administration in and are EV adopters keep tap dancing around the reality of what's on the new Administration's plate, or they are just sticking their heads in the sand.

I'm sure some don't want to hear it. The progression of technology is inevitable. However there will be battles along the way till adoption is overwhelming. Eventually, the technology will be so good, it really wont be a battle anymore. Maybe 10 years.

That may have held true 10 years ago, but the power to squash anything including new technology is now in play.

If the US leaders hold down the development of electric cars and shield NA from competition, this leaves little incentive for the lazy NA manufactures to move for on tech. Just look at the difference where China is verses the rest of the world. The industry needs a good butt kicking. 10 yrs from now, I doubt cars are going to be made in NA the way they are now. Either robotics will do the work or the plans will be gone. The rest of the world is incapable of competing with China as it is now. What will be reality in 4 yrs?

totally agree, the government just wants everyone to repeat in the mirror "the golden age of America is upon us now" Sounds like the words of a dying empire.

I'll entertain buying a Tesla when E sells the company.
