Not exactly sure how my reaction is irrational when I saw a larger than normal number for the range when it is stated 230 and asked a question to learn about it.
The 256 is not a real number, it is an estimate and usually a poor estimate at that. Jump on a road and attempt to get those 256 miles. It is possible under the most ideal conditions, but I would not get too excited about it. If you drive 30-40 mph in stop and go traffic in 70F weather and zero wind on a flat road you will hit 256

Not gonna lie really disappointing to see these some of these replies from some of you and how youā€™re mocking me about a valid question

they make software improvements throughout the vehicle to improve efficiency and battery range. Is it not reasonable to consider that they found ways to do that after I got my battery fixed and got a new software update? I never said it was an actual range. Iā€™m well aware itā€™s an estimate and it fluctuates as it did when I started at 255 before leaving the house and it increased after hitting a stop light to 256.

I am on this forum to try and learn and if you donā€™t have anything that is productive and helpful then donā€™t reply. Some of us are trying to grow in our knowledge

Sorry people are being salty towards you. FWIW in the last few days when I charge to 100%, my ER battery range has been showing 337 miles, where it normally will show 303 to 320. Nothing has changed about my driving and I havenā€™t reset my driving stats recently.

Thanks and thatā€™s good to hear. Lets hope that they have been making incremental improvements so that we can be more trusting of the estimates that are on the display!

It is very highly unlikely they improve aerodynamics via a software update (unless the update is fixing your active air dam fault).

Sorry some of us are a little... testy.

Funny you mention that - I did swing by the dealer a few days ago and they said I had the active air dam fault and applied a PCM update to fix it. I stopped in originally because of the door noise issue and shifter issue, which they did not resolve :cautious:
