I live in Ontario.
Which company offers the most competitive insurance for a 2024 Lightning?

I'm also in Ontario. Might be best to consult with a broker. I use a broker and my rate hasn't changed vs when I had my 2019 Subaru Ascent which I replaced with my 2024 Lightning. I can DM you my broker's details and she might be able to do some shopping around for you.

Welcome to the group as well, I hope you're enjoying the truck so far

Some insurance companies offer an EV discount. Intact is one of them.

I would be interested to talk to your broker, if you do not mind you can dm @416.315.4198 I am not happy with my lightning rate, they classified my truck as an F150 high theft vehicle.

My 2023 Lightning is nearly the same rate as my 2018 F150. We pay too much in Ontario but Lightning didn't make a difference. In fact, it should be lower than most cars/CUVs.

My rate went up 1000 this year but my broker found me a better rate, their reason for the increase is because of the amount of stolen F150's. My broker admitted that they don't steal the lightnings but unfortunately we get lumped in with with all the F150's

Just tried to get a quote from State Farm in U.S. they know exactly how much I drive. It seems they have almost up to date mileage on my truck. Ford does not seem to be shy about sharing my info.

Might not be Ford directly sharing with State Farm. My dealer has some deal with Carfax, so they keep reporting my info to Carfax. So my insurance company has 3 possible sources for that kind of info, Ford, my Dealer, and Carfax.

They knew about my accident and VIN number for all the cars in my household. In fact they knew more about my life than I do. They have enough data to know how lazy I am to shop around. I have been with Geico for decades so they figured they can getaway with raising rates and keeping it high. I am not sure how much collusion they do with each other to control the price but for now I think we should switch as soon as they change the rate even if it is to another company with the same rate. Just so their AI has a piece of data to consider when it suggest a hike for a your demographic.

I just saved 40% for changing insurance company.
