Is Navi standard on 302A?

Hello.

Saw a video from a dealership in Alabama saying that Navigation is standard on 302A package?

If so, what’s the point of the paid option?

I ordered 302A without Navigation so it wasn’t standard.

I also ordered without Connected Nav. But it just isn't clear how they distinguish base nav from the connected Nav. Connected Nav is described as a subscription based service that after 3 years will run out. There is no indication or tick box for the "built in" nav.

For the 302a, you need to have the Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 added as an option. It is not standard.

So a 302A does come with “offline” navigation that works after a trial period whereas the paid option gives “online / connected” navigation with traffic, etc etc.

So the paid option is only for 3 years and costs $800? Because per the builder, once the 3 years expires you go back to embedded nav...

I would bet the embedded Navigation is GPS only based like an old Garmin and the subscription would be augmented with cell data that provides current traffic events and updated location services. I wouldn't pay for any of them as you will have Android Auto or Apple Carplay that will give even better current updates. I could be wrong.

As far as I can tell the connected nav uses the Ford Pass app, so works through your phone. The connected built-in nav downloads the maps to the vehicle and uses the computer and data connection of the truck for nav. The maps are available even if the subscription is not renewed, but the maps will no longer be updated.

does this work with out cellular service. I travel out of service areas and off roads. How does this work??

That's how I ended up with Nav on my 301A build. Didn't want it but it's part of the option I did want.
