Is "HD TRAILER TOW PACKAGE" the Max tow package or just the regular trailer tow package? I was under the impression that the Max tow package had the bigger rear brakes, and the regular tow package does not.

FYI, after reading this thread I reached out to the company I ordered my wheels from with these concerns and they reached out to the manufacture of the wheels I ordered to ask about fitment over rear brakes on my truck with the Trailer Tow Package (NOT Max Tow) and they confirmed that 17" wheels will fit over my brakes.

From my understanding only the max trailer tow package gives you bigger rear brakes therefore 17 inch wheels won’t fit. Every other configuration should be fine with 17 inch wheels.

I have trailer tow package and confirm that 17s fit.

The Max Trailer Tow package gives you slightly larger diameter rear disc brakes, 13.8”X.95” on Max Tow versus 13.2”X.8” for standard trucks.

Hence why 17” wheels will not fit. The other tow packages (Tow Technology or Trailer Tow Package) have standard size brakes, so it’s a non issue.

Can confirm that Method 316 17” wheels with a 0mm offset fit over the larger 350mm rear rotors that come on the 2021 Max Tow package. Care needs to be taken with placement of balancing weights, but they do fit!
