Just got my invitation but have changed my mind.

I’ve had my reservation since 12/3/21 and since then purchased a FE Maverick hybrid on 2/2/22 to drive while I waited and waited and waited I now have 22,000 miles on my Maverick and have a MY23 reservation which will probably take a year to get. If Ford hadn’t bumped up the Lightning price so much and I’m no longer building a cabin I’m not going to go through with the purchase.

With that said, I don’t plan on just giving my reservation to the dealer because I know what it’s like with markups, etc. as I went through this with the Maverick. I have until 4/23 to place an order and thought someone might be interested in buying my reservation. The dealer is in NE Florida but the invitation said I could transfer the order to another dealer although it could delay shipment.

Another person trying to sell their reservation . Sorry - can't be done - been discussed umpteen times. Just cancel, get your $100 back and enjoy that Maverick. The reservation transfer is not to another person.

I was able to do it with the Maverick ecoboost I had on order before I found my hybrid. I guess things have changed, thanks for the info.

And you aren’t “giving your reservation up to the dealer.” If you cancel your reservation, it just disappears. The dealer doesn’t get a truck for stock because you cancelled.

You would only be giving it to the dealer if you actually ordered the truck and then decided to not take delivery.
